BOYNTON WOMAN’S CLUB FEATURES LES DAMES IN CONCERT ON SUNDAY, JANUARY 12
Les Dames, five women of a “certain age,” will be performing at the Boynton Woman’s Club at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 12. Included in their program is original material, written by Joan Kupferberg, who also accompanies the group on the piano. These contemporary-themed songs speak to today’s women (and men) who have been around the block – and lived to laugh about it. These versatile women, all accomplished singers with a rich background, also sing Broadway hits, operatic arias, folk music and European art songs.
The concert will be held in the library of the Boynton Woman’s Club, 1010 S. Federal Highway, Boynton Beach, FL. A reception will follow the program with hors d’oeuvres and punch. Tickets are $15 and proceeds will go to the Boynton Woman’s Club and its charities.
